What Is The Difference Between Dynamic Pulsed Light (DPL) and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)?
DPL is an advanced method of IPL that uses the light (wide range of the light spectrum) in a controlled intensity over the root of the hair to be removed or the hair follicles. The light is half a quotient absorbed by the pigments on the hair. This makes the hair root to absorb the light which is then converted into heat energy to destroy the pigments. Pigments are the main cause of hair growth in all areas. Apart from hair removing, DPL also used in the process of healing pigmentation and acne.
IPL is a technique that uses the light as pulses for treating. When treated over the hairy parts, the hairs absorb the light emitted and the absorbed light is converted to heat which in turn suppresses the growth of hair follicles and its melanin content. Compared to DRP, IPL is considered the oldest technology in hair removal. It is less focused on target area, requires more sessions and not suitable for dark skin tone.

What Is Dynamic Pulsed Light (DPL)?
Dynamic Pulsed Light Facial (DPL) is a non-ablative and non-invasive treatment that incorporates Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat skin conditions such as melasma and dull or tired skin. DPL is able to reach into the skin’s deeper layers to effectively reduce pigmentation, generating brighter, fairer skin.
The effectiveness of DPL treatment lies in its Dynamic Toning Technology or D-Light. D-Light is a new shape of light pulses that are created from a powerful combination of IPL and Laser power sources. Using D-light for treating skin conditions is extremely effective and safe because of its low-fluence and high-density energy and speed.
It is a safe light-based toning treatment by quick separate shots with low fluence but high energy density and speed. DPL treatment promotes cell renewal, lightens pigmentation and acne scars, boosts collagen and elastin production.

Why Choose Dr. Clariss Iced Dynamic Pulsed Light Treatment?
There is no downtime, no pain and no side effects when operated by our experienced beauty experts.
The amazing thing about this treatment is that there is no numbing cream to apply. In fact, there is no need to put on any cooling gel since the applicator will produce a cooling sensation after every shot (the reason it is called ICED Dynamic Pulse Light). However, we still encourage the application of cooling gel, especially for the first trial.
Upon finishing the DPL treatment, you can expect the application of Dr. Clariss Hydrating Ampoule and a hydrating mask to address any redness.
It is of utmost importance to have great aftercare, especially right after the treatment, in order to prevent any skin sensitivity.
